What you are actually buying
The tracks, not the boat. Iguana's proposition is that you can keep a 10 m boat at a beach house with no marina berth, driving it into and out of the water on retractable caterpillar tracks — and for an owner with private shore access and no convenient harbour, that is genuinely transformative and is what the price premium buys. Every other Iguana model uses the same system with combustion power; the Foiler is the electric entry in the range.
The specification gap is the headline
For a 10 m boat claiming 30 knots, the absence of a published battery capacity and motor rating is not a detail — it is the whole question. An amphibious hull carries the weight of the track mechanism and spends energy on the land transitions as well as the water, so a pack that would be adequate in a conventional 10 m day boat is not automatically adequate here. Until Iguana publishes capacity and a range-versus-speed curve, no buyer can assess whether this boat does what they need.
A status question to resolve first
At least one third-party listing records the Foiler as discontinued between 2023 and 2025, while Iguana's own site still lists it. That contradiction is unresolved. Before spending time on it, confirm directly with the yard whether it is currently in production, and if so on what lead time and at what price — because a discontinued model changes the parts, warranty and resale picture entirely.
