Ce que l’acheteur doit savoir
An unusually thin specification
Most listings on this site have a gap or two. The Vesper has almost nothing: no length, no beam, no battery capacity, no motor rating, no range, no price. What Lanéva does publish is seven seats, 30 knots and a 45-minute charge. That last figure is the interesting one, because a 45-minute charge on a boat capable of 30 knots implies a substantial DC charging installation, and that is a shore-side cost and a permitting exercise the buyer inherits. Without a battery capacity, though, you cannot work out what 45 minutes actually delivers — a fast charge of a small pack and a fast charge of a large one are very different propositions.
Who this is for
Someone commissioning a boat, not buying one off a page. Lanéva presents the Vesper through its custom service, which means the specification is settled in conversation with the yard rather than published in advance. That model suits a buyer who already knows what they want, has a budget they are not benchmarking to the euro, and values design and finish over comparability. It is a poor fit for anyone shopping on numbers.
What to ask
Battery capacity in kWh, continuous and peak motor power, range at cruising speed, the charger specification the 45-minute claim assumes, and what the base boat costs before options. None of these are unreasonable questions and none are currently answered.
